Art Teachers, do you use textbooks?
asbbydl asked:
I am proposing that my school adopt the Davis Studio Series textbooks for Drawing, Painting, Sculpture and Ceramics. Are you familiar with these texts? Do you know of any other publishers writing art curriculum? How do you like using a textbook? OR why would you NOT use a textbook? Thanks!

im not an art teacher but i think textbooks are helpful. i learned drawing through art books. i started using one when i was in firstgrade and by that time i recognized the basic proportions of the body and the head. i used the walter foster books.
