I was wondering if it is possible to make a decent living off of selling textbooks online? I recently got into selling my old textbooks on amazon, and was wondering if it is possible to do that to make a living? My father was recently layed off and is looking for something he can do from home to make some sort of income. If it is possible, how do I go about doing this?? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I want to sell some college textbooks online… any ideas of which website are the best to sell textbooks?

I’m selling some old textbooks on ebay, what is common for combined shipping? Do I only charge for 1 book?

I let ebay calculate the shipping costs, is that the right thing to do? I have a potential buyer saying it is too much.

I have 7 textbooks that are old editions and are worth nothing, but I feel really bad about throwing them out. Is there a company or just people online that will take these books off my hands, where they could possibly use them? I don’t even care to make money off of them at this point. I just don’t want to throw them out becuase they are in great condition.

I don’t have a printer so I can’t print out the postage labels in order to send the books. Is there a site that I can sell them and not have to print anything. I just tried Ebay and they won’t accept my credit card for some reason.

What is the best (and cheapest) way to pack textbooks for shipping?

I have sold some books on half.com and I need to ship them soon. What is the best way to pack and ship them? Boxes? Bubble mailers?
To the 2nd poster: what if it rains? The books would get wet, wouldn’t they?

To both: I am sending 1-2 books at a time.

Also, I was thinking more along the lines of bubble mailers because they’re inexpensive and come in many sizes.
