A lot of the local schools actually have second hand books stores and I know the Secondary College that my kids go to has one, so you could get in touch with schools in your area and find out if they have them. even if it’s not the school you are going to attend quite often the same text is used.
Failing that try ebay but just check that the book you require and the one you buy are the same printing year as sometimes they update a book and then you cannot buy second hand. I know this year I had to rebuy Macbeth as the version one of my kids had was no good for the other.
