the entire “business” of university is a rip off.

you can get just as good an education at a 2 year school for a fraction of the price.

Not to mention. Your walking into a war zone. It’s not like theres such thing as a safe school anymore.

It is a huge rip off. I know that it takes a lot to write a textbook. It’s a pain for the authors from what one instructor told us who wrote the textbook we used for his class.

I’m in a graduate program. Most of my textbooks have all been over $100. When I was taking science courses, all of those books were over $100. It’s ridiculous.

Ebay is great for buying textbooks. But yes, buying them from the bookstore is a major ripoff. Especially when you don’t even use it.

Huge ripoff. Professors must get kickbacks to use newer additions. Used book stores are a joke too. We hardly ever used the text book in most of my classes. Students should organize and protest!

Its a rip off but its good business. You have to have the books. Were I in their shoes, I guess I’d do the same thing.
