physics asked: I’m trying to buy inexpensive textbooks for next semester and the international editions i find online are VERY cheap. What are the differences between the international edition and the regular edition? Anything that would affect my performance in the class or in re-selling the book back?

The Voice of Reason asked:
The average price for a textbook this semester appears to be nearing $150, but you can pick up identical international editions on the internet for 50-80% of the cost. What is the reason for this difference? Is it a supply and demand thing… but why then are americans willing to pay so much more for the same books?
