Mae asked: I need to get a textbook, and the cheapest I can find is an ebook, but it has a different ISBN than the hard copy. It says it’s the same edition, same name, same author. Is there some sort of rule that states that an ebook needs a new ISBN? Or will the book be substantially different from what I might need?

alinpar asked:
I have three college textbooks in lightly used/new conditions that I would like to sell online. Since I have NO IDEA on how to do this and have never done this before I need some advice:
What is the best website to do this through? Amazon seemed confusing and I don’t want to have to pay high shipping costs through the US Post office. Does anyone have any websites that they have used before which are simple and give you a good price for the books you want to sell? Also any site that minimizes shipping costs and difficulties is much appreciated.
I also have 2 textbooks which come up as “unlisted” whenever I enter it into the ISBN box. What site lets you sell “unlisted books” also?
THANK YOU!
I am now looking at swapbooks.com. Does anyone think this is a good choice?

Fred Liu asked:
I really like a textbook from my grade 12 physics class called “Nelson Physics 12″, ISBN 0176259880. I want to buy it for less than Nelson’s advertised price of $155 + shipping. Since the school issues these books to us, I’d imagine it’s rare that someone would sell one and I couldn’t find any on eBay or some other major used items sites. Any suggestions?

I own some textbooks and I am considering buying a kindle. I do not want to have to purchase these textbooks again so I can use a kindle. Is there any way that I can enter a code or ISBN number so I can easily download those textbooks onto a kindle without re-buying the books?
