Cheap College Book

Here’s the thing: my textbooks are in great shape and my ratings on all the sites I go to are all good. The issue is that I will be forced to compete with other prices that other users are selling the same book for and I won’t be getting much money and the shipping fee will also add on to the issue. Sometimes the buyer buys the book based on price AND the book’s quality and the seller’s rating but I will still have competition regardless. If I go to the bookstore, there’s basically no competition but I don’t know if they will buy my book at a cheaper/higher price than that of online buyers. Any advice?

I am just wondering why do colleges and universities charge so much money for textbooks when they know that the average student doesn’t have the money to pay for them?
