I’m doing research for a school newspaper article about lies in public school science textbooks, so I would also like information relating to New York State’s laws on textbook accuracy. Links would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Well for homework we have to write down terms from our science textbook into a notebook and draw a picture for them. But the problem is we also have to read the textbook. This textbook is very boring. I read is and i don’t pay attention to what i am reading. This always happens when I am reading something I don;t understand. This only happens in something boring. I love to read and i always get what Im reading. I even try to read aloud what i’m reading and i still don’t get it. Is there any tips to not get distracted and pay attention to what your reading?

Should we put warning labels on other science textbooks and not just biology ones?

Biology textbooks in some districts in the United States had warning labels put on them, by creationists in recent history, saying, “Evolution is a theory, not a fact.” Why not go a bit further?

How about putting similar warning labels to physics textbooks too?

Something like:
“This textbook contains material on gravity. Gravity is a theory, not a fact, regarding a force that cannot be directly seen. This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully, and critically considered.”

Why not put similar warning labels on other textbooks as well?
