Hi all. I’m looking for a way to get college textbooks for cheap. Websites like half.com have great prices but having to pay shipping charges to a variety of sellers adds up. I like textbooks.com because the textbooks all come from one seller, but they can be a bit pricey and they don’t have a lot of the textbooks I need in stock.

Any suggestions? Thanks so much for all your help :) @ Arbitrary Person

I understand that textbooks cost money to ship. They are quite heavy and a charge is not only expected, but necessary. However, when they are coming from a variety of sellers, the charges can accumulate into a hefty total. My sister and I order textbooks at the same time and, if we are ordering upwards of 15 books, a 5 to 10 shipping charge PER book can really add up.

That it why I am seeking a website where all books come from one seller.

Thank you.

How long does it take for Amazon to restock a textbook?

I ordered one of my textbooks a week ago from Amazon, but the book is still out of stock. I looked for my textbook at other sites, but the Amazon copy was the cheapest. Should I wait for Amazon to eventually restock my textbook or just spend the extra money and get my book now?

My class starts next Wednesday and I know it is required for the class (the professor has already put up the syllabus).

Where can I read college textbooks online?

I have a class beginning soon and I just recieved an email that the book I ordered 2 weeks ago was not shipped because it was out of stock. I have heard there are sites where (for a fee) I can read them. Does anybody know of such a site?
