Is it normal for a textbook to be vastly cheaper at amazon, than buying at my UNI bookstore?

Where can I find solutions or solution manuals to textbooks?

I have a few textbooks here (calculus, business statistics) that I would like to review, so I need the solutions manual to do it effectively. If the price of the textbooks were reasonable, i would buy them without any problems. but my degree contains history and politics (which means many books) and the books are on average £45. and whats worse is that the books are not for my full 3 years in uni but just for a semester. i guess i could just try to find the bk in the library and photocopy but the books are rarely found as they are in great demand.
