Where is a good place to buy cheap college textbooks?
Jessie asked:
I’m buying my textbooks early. Is there a website besides Amazon where you can buy used textbooks at a reasonable price?

Definitely try eBay. Also, used book stores sometimes have them, and book stores on just about any college campus have some used books too. Savoy Truffle

Your best bet is Half.com, which is like an extension of eBay just for books. Otherwise, there are places now where you can rent books for the semester and it’s a lot cheaper and you don’t have to worry about selling books back later and getting next to nothing for it. Kim

I like amazon, but if you’re looking for another site I also used half.com and had very good experiences with it. Never any problems. If you’re looking for a place that’s not a marketplace-style site, you should check out this article: The article has information about other sites to buy college textbooks such as shipping fees, return policies, freebies they may have… Good luck! Ebay or half.com are good places to buy books. But you may also want to consider renting them. You will usually save more than half of the cost of buying the book. is a great place to rent them AshleyH

I recommend renting your texts online from Chegg instead of buying them. You will save money and they ship fast. If you use code CC123047 when ordering you will receive a discount or $5 additional back when selling Chegg your used texts. Simply put the code in and hit the “apply” button. This code won’t expire so it can be used with every order. Feel free to share the code with friends.
At the end of the term, you ship the books back to Chegg for free. It’s a great deal! ChiliBean2

Yes, indeed the best place is Amazon, I got all of my textbooks there every year and it has saved me quite a lot. They often give good discounts for many textbooks. Here you can look for any textbook you want and check the price on Amazon:
And if you buy textbooks of value over $25, you can get all of them free shipped to you:
Hope it helps
