Where is the best place to buy cheap university textbooks (UK)?
Mandycake asked:
I’ve been given about 30 books to read for my first term alone and, surprise surprise, the majority of them aren’t in the libraries I’ve tried. I don’t even mind them being second hand as long as they are readable and don’t have any pages missing. Does anyone know of anywhere where I can buy the books I need cheaply? The university doesn’t have a bookshop and my course is Early Childhood Studies. Thanks in advance.
I have looked on Amazon, Play.com and Ebay and nearly all of the books are being sold at retail price, which for a lot of them is about £50.

I would suggest using GreenTextbooks.org
Save Money, Save The Planet
GreenTextbooks.org specializes in the recycling of textbooks, CDs. Buying used textbooks not only saves you money, but cuts down on greenhouse gases caused by the manufacturing of new textbooks. Bart

Have you searched them on Amazon? You may find quite a lot of used books there: Pauline A
