Many college bookstores sell used books at very good prices, and some student groups set up shop at the beginning of the semester for free or nearly-free book exchanges. Mary L

All my classmates would get theirs at Amazon. Even new, their textbooks cost less than the university bookstore. windsonged

What I do is go to a site like to search for the textbook I need for the lowest price.
Another time is buying the textbook from another student or from a group of students selling textbooks. Also, on facebook - where your college/university might have a group where student can exchange/look/sell their books. My college have one so sometimes before the semester starts - I go to the group page to checkout what students are selling. lovelywhitely

I always use They are a textbook search engine that searches all the online retailers to find you the best prices on the books you need. You can specify whether you want to search for used, new, or both types of books. They can even do multi-item searches. It’s pretty cool actually.
Hope this was of help. J. Scott
