well the reason is right in yor answer. u didnt buy the 7th edition 1 beacause u didnt know about it at the time. That is why u bought the 8th edition not the 7th condition. Brandon C

This happens all the time. They want you to have their “latest edition” even though it isn’t that different. The bad thing is that you really should have the latest edition for your course. The reason is that the things that they change are homework question numbers or the questions themselves or the order that things are arranged in the book. When they do this, the teacher could say do problems 1-10 on page 100 and you would do it, but it would be the wrong problems and you would then get the homework wrong. This is why you really should always buy the latest edition, even though it is kind of a scam on the part of the textbook publishers. To ease the pain of always needing the latest editions I use to find all of my textbooks. They are a textbook search engine that searches all the of the online retailers to find you the cheapest price. It’s actually pretty cool. Sorry you got scammed by the textbook giants.

Hope this was of help. J. Scott
